See Something Say Something
Say something!"
Gery De Smet studied painting at the Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten in Gent and later at the HISK. In 1992 he won the Emile Langui Prize for Young Belgian Painting. The artist lives and works in St.-Amandsberg (Gent) and in addition to his main discipline also works in other media including installations, videos, happenings, multiples and graphics - often in combination with text. In spite of these side activities, he remains first and foremost a painter.
