De collectie tekeningen beslaat een veertigtal bladen, waaronder werken van Holbein, Schongauer, Altdorfer, D?rer en Gr?newald. Deze groep wordt aangevuld met een keuze uit de grafiekcollectie, waarbij D?rer centraal zal staan.\n\nThe exhibition D?rer and his time, German prints and drawings c.1420-1575 focuses on one of the most interesting and varied chapters of early modern art history which coincided with an epoch of deep-rooted changes in the political, religious and social order of the Middle Ages. The number of sheets from D?rer's hand, as well as their artistic significance make him the central figure of the exhibition. His graphic and drawing works are flanked by works from his predecessors Martin Schongauer and Israhel van Meckenem, and by prints and drawings from his contemporaries and followers.
