Dutch Beauty
In Dutch Beauty, photographer Patricia Steur presents one hundred striking portraits of Dutch women such as Chantal Janzen, Saskia Noort, Femke Halsema, Frédérique Spigt and Anouk. Her subjects in this series are women from all walks of life and all professions, beautiful in their sense of inspiration, passion and strength. Patricia Steur captures this inner beauty with a keen eye, revealing women who are aware of their surroundings and eager to help create a better, more positive world. In that sense, they are like the courageous women who participate in the important projects of the Medical Knowledge Institute (mki). The mki is a non-profit organisation aimed at providing information and education in the field of health care. mki makes a real difference and that's why a percentage of the proceeds of this book will go to support its valuable work. Patricia Steur's insightful photography has been featured at several key national and international exhibitions and she has published a number of critically acclaimed books of her art. In 2005, she was the recipient of The Netherlands' prestigious 'Grote Paul' photography award, named after the legendary Dutch photographer Paul Huf.
