Situation KCAP
The Dutch architect and urban planner Kees Christiaanse and his office, KCAP, develop and realize exceptional concepts and designs in the fields of urban planning and architecture and at the interface between the two.
In recent years, the focus of the future development of European cities has shifted towards the regeneration and restructuring of urban areas, including inner cities. KCAP has realized pioneering work in this area: on former dockland and industrial sites and along important banks of major European rivers. KCAP brings to these challenging settings its highly distinctive concepts, whether it be as supervisor, urban planner or architect.
This wide-ranging book represents the first in-depth survey and analysis of KCAP's most important projects.
