"The Country of the Blind" is a story about a sighted man named Nunez who discovers a hidden valley where everyone is blind. Despite his attempts to assert the superiority of his sight, he finds that in this isolated society, blindness is the norm and sight is seen as a disadvantage. Ultimately, Nunez must choose between conforming to their ways or leaving the valley.
