GOTTHARD GRAUBNER:MIT DEN BILDERN... PB
As one of the most important representatives of abstract painting, Gotthard Graubner idiosyncratically pursued the various effects of colour. This catalogue brings together around 50 pieces, from graphic works to the large-format, object-like “colour-space bodies“. The palette progresses from shades of grey, brown and black to vibrant colours. Ten extraordinary black-and-white photographs, which poetically capture the movements of Buddhist monks dancing, form the starting point. The meditative moment as the central aspect in Graubner's art is also evident in the encounter with his vividly coloured painterly explorations.
