This work on the global burden of infectious diseases examines combination vaccines and the promise of edible vaccines; antibiotic resistance genes among bacteria; the molecular biology, pathogenesis and origin of HIV1 and 2; and work on papillomaviruses, herpes viruses, BSE and variant CJD.
