Henriette Lannes came to England after the Second World War and organised the Work of G. I. Gurdieff under the auspices of the Gurdieff Society. She succeeded in bringing together the separate groups who had been working with P. D. Ouspensky, J. G. Bennett, Maurice Nicoll and Jane Heap.
