The US Army in World War II (1)
The first of a detailed three-volume analysis of the US Army in World War II. The United States contributed much larger numbers of men and material than any other western ally, and bore the brunt of the fighting in Europe and the Pacific in the latter stages of the War. This volume concentrates on the central and south-west Pacific and CBI (China, Burma, Indian theatre). It lists the divisions which fought in the theatre with basic organization details. In addition it covers the US summer dress uniform along with tropical field uniforms, camouflage uniforms and personal equipment.
