Broken wings is the title of one of the published stories. The stories tackle different topics and pose questions on life, death and relationships. City gates has a paranormal aspect, where a traveler arrives at a city in a historical time. Small things and Broken wings are narrated by women expressing their inner thoughts about their love life. The Darkness of a night is about a couple driving around in the middle of the night in Cairo. The dream of a Sunday afternoon is the story of an immigrant young woman in Paris one Sunday afternoon where she visits different places in the famous city and suspects a stalker, which is reflective of her own reality. Some stories tackle the question of death, like Grief and Departure. My children is a letter from a mother to her children with many dystopian elements.

Ce livre d'environ 12,000 mots est un recueil de nouvelles dont neuf ont été publiées dans des journaux et magazines littéraires en Égypte et à Oman.

Le recueil porte le titre de l'une de ces nouvelles, Des ailes cassées. Les nouvelles traitent des thèmes divers sur la vie, la mort et l'amour. Les portes de la ville a un aspect historique et fantaisiste quand un voyageur arrive à une ville et se pose des questions sur son séjour là. De petites choses et Des ailes cassées nous confient les pensées d'une femme sur son amour. Dans Les ténèbres d'une nuit, un couple fait le tour en voiture dans la nuit du Caire pour dire ou ne pas dire beaucoup de choses. Le rêve d'un dimanche après-midi raconte la journée d'une jeune femme se baladant à Paris. Elle soupçonne être suivie reflétant ses propres pensées sur son futur à Paris. Le thème de la mort est prédominant dans Chagrin et Départ. Finalement, Mes enfants portent des éléments dystopiques ou une mère écrit une lettre à ses enfants lui expliquant pourquoi elle devait quitter.
