From the first chapter, this book had me captivated. It is definitely a page turner. Easy to read and the story-line is absolutely amazing! I could NOT put it down. It is the perfect compilation of mystery, good and evil, love, family, devotion, trust, deception and so much more! I got to the end and could’ve screamed. Patiently anticipating the sequel.

This world was absolutely riveting. I read it all in one sitting and loved the pacing and unexpected shifts. I loved how the characters are well fleshed out and you can really connect to each character. The author does an amazing job of showing everyone’s personality and ambitions with in a few lines. Oh where to start! Tales of Elhaanai is a fantastic beginning to an adult fantasy series that I'll be definitely following! The story gripped me from the first pages to the point that I finished in one sitting (which I haven't done in quite a while!).

First of all, the author is an amazing storyteller. She manages to immediately pull you into a fast paced story full of plot twists, kingdoms, magic, quests, adventure, and basically everything I love about fantasy books. And then the CHARACTERS! From Alanna Bear Claw to King Kaison, I was intrigued by every single one of them.

Speaking of characters, when I started reading Tales of Elhaanai, I thought it would only focus on Alric (the hero of this story), but we get to hang around with so many of them. One of my favorites is Wleia (Alric's mom) since she is wise & fierceless, I just really liked her! Devona was also another character I enjoyed reading about, her evilness had no end and she's the true embodiment of a classic villain.

Tales of Elhanaai is well worth the read. And though it is a comparatively short read, it carries a big world I cannot wait to explore.
