Empath as Archetype 4 - The Empath and Shadow Work

Empath as Archetype 4 - The Empath and Shadow Work

The Empath, or highly sensitive, artistic, intuitive person, wants bonded, happy family relationships, a soul mate partnership, and a career involving her creativity. Yet many times the Empath repeats painful relationship patterns in which she cannot see her hidden motivations.

The Empath and Shadow Work is the fourth in the series, Empath as Archetype, in which Elaine describes Shadow Work, or the study of discovering those parts of ourselves that are hidden, and how those Shadow parts create unhappy outcomes in our lives. More specifically, this book discusses the Mother Wound which leads to the Empath's tendency to idealize others, and how to heal this pattern so the Empath does not destroy her relationships. Elaine also describes the reverse role of the Empath being idealized, and how the outcome can be very painful and confusing for the Empath as the Enneagram Type Four.

The author, Elaine La Joie, has spent ten years as a shaman and certified life coach specifically helping Empaths with their personal transformation so they can create happier, more fulfilled lives and relationships. The Empath and Shadow Work is the fourth in the series, Empath as Archetype, in which Elaine shows her clients how overarching patterns common to Empaths can change using shamanic perspectives and healing techniques including Soul Retrieval, Underworld Work, and Generational Imprint Healing.

Other volumes in this series: The Empath and the Archetypal Drama Triangle, The Empath and Shamanic Energy Work, Motivations of the Empath, and the Empath and the Fan-Hero Family System.
