This essay aims to investigate the concept of freedom in Franco Battiato's work.What is freedom? He speaks about it extensively in his songs: freedom as responsibility and freedom as evolution but also freedom of languages, freedom of expression and freedom from definitions. This book will attempt to go through these different categories, which then considered all together gives the final main idea of a wider and deeper freedom that includes them all. Moreover the aim of the book is trying to realize how this kind of freedom is determinant for our life, for the understanding of our life.
