Excerpt:

He reached for one of the bottles of water sitting in the ice bin and unscrewed the cap. As soon as Warren put the bottle to his lips the car jerked to another halt and he coughed up what little he had managed to swallow. Derrick was at his side immediately, making sure the man wasn’t choking.

“I’m fine,” Warren said hoarsely with a wave of his hand. He set the bottle down and reached for the towel beneath the ice bucket. “How embarrassing.”

There wasn’t even a hint of blush on Warren’s pale skin, now dangerously close to Derrick’s own. He realized too late that a man like this was far too poised to choke on water.
