They are there, on the sun-soaked island of Sicily, to holiday, relax, swim and enjoy but their vacations turn into a nightmare once the evil police chief spies them and selects them. Once he has them on trumped-up charges the next stage is interrogation, all the women’s rights ignored as he uses them for his own ends. Once he is finished with them and seeking new and fresh women to snare, he passes them on to his friend the prison governor – then their ordeals really begin. Strangely and surprisingly, after the initial rebelliousness and fight in them reduces the women find themselves actually warming to the regimes of the prison and join in the activities willingly and longingly. No accounting for taste is there?
