Love after the Apocalypse
Saphia Bey was a Bey, and like any other Bey, she was expected to hold her proud family heritage in the nuclear shelter they called, New Zion. Claiming lineage from the Ottoman generals and leaders of yore, the Bey’s took their “rightful place” amongst the leaders of the underground nuclear shelter located in what was formerly called “Northern Montana.” Who am I, you might ask? I am Alfred Nadeau, like any other Nadeau, we are expected to keep ourselves aloof from Caananite politics and instead, focus on the most important thing in the vault: energy. The Nadeau’s monopoly on harnessing the elements gives them fathomable and tangible power. Now. I bet you can see where this leads: it’s the classic tale between two feuding powerful families, and then Saphia and I get gooey eyed, fall in love, and bring the families together, like a nice Hollywood adaptation of a Romeo and Juliet tale. You couldn’t be further from the truth, this is a story of violence, lust, and power. The only way to get anywhere in New Zion.
