Dr Gerson , was born in 1881, in Wongrowitz, Germany. Was graduated from the University of Freiburg. He suffered from severe migraine and discovered that a change in diet prevented the onsetr of these crippling headaches.
He discovered that one of his patients that followed his migraine diet also was cured from skin tuerculosis as well.
Through his work he attracted Albert Schweitzer, and and aftr nine months of therapy , Mrs Bresslau-Schweitzer was cured of lung tuberculosis. Dr Schweitzer himself came to Dr Gerson at age of 75 depressed and weary with advanced adult onset diabetes. In a few weeks Dr Schweiteer was completely off his heavy insuline dosage. He returned to Afrika, invigorated and full optimism. Dr Schweitzer followed the developments of Dr Gerson, and saw that his dietary therapy was succesful for heart disease, kidney failure and cancer.
Before the Worldwar II dr Gerson immigrated to the United States. For twenty years he treated hundreds of cancer patiƫnts who had been given up to die after all conventional treatments had failed.
In 1958, after 30 years of treatments dr Gerson publidsed this book. Although ridiculed in his time, research findings now confirm that nutrition is a powerful and effective means of treating diseases.
