A series of books at various reading levels are being published to coincide with the June 2017 film release of Cars 3 that follows Lightning McQueen as he and young racing technician Cruz Ramirez work together to rehabilitate Lightning after a crash that prompts his newest rival, Jackson Storm, to urge Lightning to retire.
