THE STORY OF OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN
John Travolta makes a surprise visit, Delta Goodrem performs a musical tribute, and the star's favorite color is mentioned: All you need to know about the State tribute to Olivia Newton-John
She was adored by many generations everywhere.
And today, during the superstar's state memorial, her millions of followers will get the opportunity to honor her life.
Details about the star-studded farewell, which will take place on Sunday at Hamer Hall in Melbourne, have been released by The Herald Sun.
In honor of the celebrity, those attending the ceremony are requested to wear "a touch of orange," which was Olivia's favorite color.
The event, which will be emceed by David Campbell of Channel Nine, will be a fitting homage to the Grease actress's accomplishments as a supporter of cancer research as well as her sixty years as a music artist and actor.
Olivia had three cancer diagnoses: first in 1992, once in 2013, and finally in 2017.
After fighting the cancer bravely and openly for decades, Newton-John passed away in August at the age of 73.
During the memorial, Olivia's husband John Easterling, her daughter Chloe Lattanzi, and her niece Tottie Godlsmith will all give tributes to their loved ones.
Delta Goodrem will play a medley of the superstar's classics in the meanwhile.
Paul Hogan, a stalwart of Australian show business, and John Travolta, Olivia's Grease co-star, will attend the occasion through video connection.
Anthony Albanese, the prime minister, will also be a special guest.
