Being A Gentleman

As many people believe, a gentleman's identity has vanished and may appear to be becoming extinct. Despite insults, men respect themselves and women. When women decline a male approach, talking, or helping, they may be rude, and they may not want to be approached or talked to. Thank them politely and respectfully for their time, and maintain your poise when leaving. Make her happy with every little thing you can. Gentlemen are kind, protective, caring, and humorous. In the past, I remember being with a friend when we came across a man asking for money on the corner. Even though my friend did not have much money on him, he generously gave the man what he had. I asked why he did that and he replied, "I have a job and he doesn't." His actions were thoughtful, compassionate, and selfless. Gentlemanly qualities characterized him. Men should not confine themselves to being gentlemen only when it comes to women. He can also be a gentleman to a man. A gentleman will assist an elderly person in mowing their lawn, carrying groceries, or washing their car. Most importantly, a gentleman will always be able to make you smile, and if he is unable to make you smile, he will always walk away respectfully.
