The Collected Kahlil Gibran

The Collected Kahlil Gibran

Kahlil Gibran—Gibran Khalil Gibran by birth—was a Lebanese-American writer, poet, activist, and visual artist. Deeply thoughtful and spiritual, Gibran was also considered a philosopher although he rejected the title.

Best known as the author of The Prophet, one of the best-selling books of all time, having been translated into more than 100 languages, Gibran is celebrated as a literary hero in Lebanon. He is widely considered the single most important influence on Arabic poetry and literature during the first half of the twentieth century.

The Collected Kahlil Gibran captures the entire range of Gibran's influential works and includes the following classics:

Spirits Rebellious (1903)
Broken Wings (1912)
A Tear and a Smile (1914)
The Madman: His Parables and Poems (1918)
Twenty Drawings (1919)
The Forerunner, His Parables and Poems (1920)
The Prophet (1923)
Sand and Foam (1926)

This comprehensive volume includes many of Gibran's original illustrations as well as an interactive table of contents to aid reader navigation and enjoyment.
