Under the Yoke

Repeatedly selected as Bulgaria's number one novel of all time, Under the Yoke is 1880s novel written by Bulgarian poet and writer Ivan Vazov. The plot is directly related to the Bulgarian uprising ugainst Ottoman Turkish authorities that led to the Russo-Turkish War. This copy is the first (1912), and best translation of the Vazov book by translator Edward Gosse.
